Once again we are very proud to have been sponsor and provider of two way radio communications to the Sheffield Steelers Ice Hockey club. The team have wrapped up the 2024 League and Challenge cup double and are looking very strong for the Play Offs as well.Ice Hockey hit world headlines last autumn with the death of Adam Johnson (RIP #47) on Sheffield Ice, the club and all who witnessed the tragedy have been deeply affected and it is to the credit of staff and players collectively, that the team were able to translate some very dark days into the huge effort required and to continue to play and win. The sell out support for many games this season shows the level of support the club has, I salute you all. All should also remember Matt Petgrave who I understand, the club have continued to support, I hope you are doing well Matt. The Steelers also lost one of their own pre-season with the untimely death of Alex Graham, not the best start to a season.
Lastly, I would like to offer a thought for the club, players and fans of Nottingham Panthers. They withdrew from the cup but are just a few games (at the time of writing) from completing the league season, not a moment too soon I would think for most of them, you have my respect and admiration.
