icom IC-F29DR radios are available with 16 digital channels and utilieses 6.25 Khz channel spacing. Giving better coverage in urban areas where analogue PMR446 users may experience a lot of channel congestion and interference, which makes this radio perfect for professional use.
The icom IC-F29DR meets pan-European digital and analogue licensing standards, and is ideal for organisations and businesses where the workplace is constantly changing such as construction sites and events.
The Radio can use both digital and analogue modes at the same time and can scan both zones at once. With this being enabled it allows organisations to operate both digital and analogue radios in company fleets.
The Radio can also withstand 1m depth of water for half an hour along with being waterproof is is dust-tight protection making it suitable for outdoor use.
800mw output is provided from the large 36mm speaker. The IC-F29DR can deliver loud and intelligible audio even in noisy environments.
Just like analogue CTCSS and DTCS codes, the digital Common ID also can be used for group calls. the codes and ID’s can be programmed to the 16 different positions for the instant call capability.
With the addition of either optional headsets built in VOX function provides the capability of Hands Free.
Voice Announcement functions can be used when you rotate the rotary selector. the radio announces the selected channel number.
The Radio also announces the zone number. which mode is being used when the zone button is pushed.
