Description
The Kenwood NX-320 is a digital two way radio from Kenwood. Part of the NEXEDGE range, the NX-320 is built to IP55 standards meaning that it has a limited ingress protection against dust whilst also being safeguarded against jets of water. The NX-320 has passed MIL-STD-810 (C/D/E/F/G) certification, showing its ruggedness and reliability in some of the harshest possible working conditions. Operating in both NXDN Digital Conventional and FM Analogue Modes, the Kenwood NX-320 can even use both signalling types whilst on the same channel (Autosenses Received Mode).
A 64 channel capacity is present allowing for ample communications between workers, with signalling types CTCSS, DCS and NXDN all featured on the radio. Other features included on the NX-320 are a calling alert, dual-mode scanning and an emergency advanced motion detection function. The Kenwood NX-320 comes as standard with a 1480mAh KNB-55L Li-Ion battery, this will allow for up to 8.5 hours of talk time but can be extended with a battery saver mode feature. Additional safety features coming as standard include Lone Worker, this will monitor inactivity with a distress signal being sent if no movement is detected within a set time period. Man Down is a similar feature, whereby if a radio is laid on its side for a pre-set period of time then an alert will be sounded.
